Jobs Recovery is Typically a Slow Process

CHART:

By The New York Times | Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The chart shows:

1) The huge job shortage that happened this year in comparison with other recent recessions.
2) This recession has only recovered to the worst of the 2008 Great Recession in terms of jobs lost. That means we’ve only just started jobs recovery.
3) sometimes it takes a really long time to recover all the jobs lost.
